The MA-RO wine cellar is nestled in the heart of Slovenia's renowned Stajerska wine-growing region, more precisely in the Ljutomer-Ormoz hills. This area is celebrated for its thousands-year-old winemaking tradition and exceptional natural conditions, making it one of the most respected terroirs for producing refined, premium wines.
The vineyards stretch across the most prestigious slopes of the Ljutomer-Ormoz Hills, including Strezetina and Nunska Graba, near the world-famous Jeruzalem wine area. Ranked among the top 3% of vineyard locations worldwide, these exceptional sites offer ideal conditions for growing grapes of outstanding character.
Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow Muscat, and the local variety Furmint thrive in these fertile and carefully cultivated vineyards.
Pinot Noir
Dry red wine, 0.75 L, 13.0 ABV. Pinot Noir presents itself with a bright and clear, ruby red colour and a dense texture. The distinct bouquet is delicate and reminiscent of ripe berries, as well as blackberry, plum, and cherry. This is followed by aromas of violet and red rose, which intertwine with a note of tobacco.
Chardonnay
The MARO Wine Cellar proudly continues the legacy of the renowned Mursa winemaking family, whose tradition dates back to the 17th century.
